Visitors who join this unique activity are directly supporting the research efforts of the Uganda Carnivore Program. By accompanying researchers to track radio-collared lions, guests contribute to data collection essential for understanding population dynamics, mitigating human-wildlife conflict, and ensuring the long-term survival of Uganda’s lion population standing at 310 which are mainly found in Queen Elizabeth, Murchison falls and Kidepo valley national parks.

The Bwindi Lives and Livelihoods Guided trails including reformed poacher’s trail in Rubuguri hills in southern Bwindi.
